Messina Break

A very economical and convenient place to stay while exploring Messina and the Capo Peloro/Torre Faro coastline. Right next to the main Messina Centrale train station,airport transfer buses, and local shuttle buses,for easy access throughout the coastline and local beaches. Shops,supermarkets and other amenities are within a few minutes' walk. It is clean and simple to access,and the proprietor is very welcoming and easily contactable for most requests.

The room smelled like smoke, breakfast was only biscuits but ok to sleep there one night.

Attention, a room is offered with the charm of a storage room, wildly mixed furniture covered with thick plastic sheets. Everything smells excessively of cleaning products. The balcony is full of the accommodation's laundry, an old mattress covers half of the window. The breakfast consists of a "buffet" of old cookies, cornflakes on a completely dirty sideboard, better to go to the café around the corner. Parking is difficult, but it can be done. Better to use the paid parking nearby.

Lucía was very attentive to me, however I was quite anxious before the trip because the communication was not smooth. The place has a very good location, but not the cleanliness of the place.

I stayed with my friends at the B&B on Via Trapani. It was a terrible experience, to say the least. At the time of booking, while speaking with the owner, I explicitly asked which street the room was on because we had changed the dates and, coming by car, we would have needed to book a nearby parking space. The owner told me the room was on Via Maddalena and offered to give us the number of a private parking nearby, which, despite being requested three times, was never provided. At check-in the owner sent us the location and we discovered that, contrary to what had been communicated during booking, the room was at Via Trapani 6, half an hour from the parking we had booked, which was actually on Via Maddalena. Realizing the mistake, the owner said she would find us a parking spot; unfortunately it was a space under the B&B reserved for disabled people, with the risk of receiving a fine. Once inside, the owner warned us that besides us there were only two young men of color in the property; however, when we entered our room opposite the kitchen, we saw a man without a shirt preparing his meal. The worst surprise came when entering the room: the bathroom door was broken and you could not even flush toilet paper down the toilet. With great adaptability we pretended nothing was wrong in hopes of at least getting some sleep, given the short one-night stay. Unfortunately, returning from the Max Pezzali concert tired and sweaty at 2 a.m., we could not even take a shower because when we tried we noticed water was leaking from the shower tray, overflowing the plasterboard wall of the bathroom and flooding the room. My friend had plugged her phone into the outlet and left her backpack on the floor and found the backpack soaked. So at 2 a.m. we had to clean the room, empty the backpack and leave it to dry, and since the water had reached the power outlet we could not use it. Lying in bed, nervous and tired, we also noticed a terrible odor and during the night noises came from the bathroom that prevented us from sleeping at all. The next morning I tried to contact the owner, sending videos of what had happened to avoid leaving a negative review and to get clarification, but to this day I have received no response. A unique rudeness. We will certainly never return.

After booking this property based on the host's photos, we later discovered we had been placed in a garage with open doors. Our room was small, without windows, with a shower tray and a curtain next to the bed and a pseudo-desk. Around the shower tray there were three dirty, non-absorbent rugs and a detached antenna cable. The bathroom, which only had a toilet, contained a cigarette butt inside and ash in the sink. We reported the problem to the lady. The lady was cooperative, saying that although we had booked a single room (the only available option) for two people, she might be able to place us in another property she owns (the one in the photos?) and promised us a refund. Because the other property was occupied, we decided not to stay and to find a new last-minute accommodation, which was difficult and very expensive. The deposit refund was not given to us. I do not recommend this property, especially when traveling with children.

The owner is a wonderful person, very kind and helpful. The location is excellent, close to the train station, the port and the town center. The rooms are simple but equipped with a fridge,TV and a renovated bathroom. The two balconies are enclosed within the condominium, so you can't see anything. But overall it is excellent for the location and the advantageous price. The room is simple but has all the comforts. The breakfast with packaged products and disposable cups is certainly hygienic. I would return for the owner's kindness and the optimal location.

Terrible. Do not trust because it is not a B&B. It is a garage with some spaces where they made rooms. There is no window, they left us only one towel for two people. Broken TV, bed without a nightstand and without space around, the room is too small. Do not trust the photo. The only good thing is that it is close to the station.

Money strictly in cash. Half a roll of toilet paper for 2 days and 2 people. I also paid for breakfast but upon our arrival, the lady told us it was no longer included. Quite dirty, the only positive thing is the location.

The room was a very unpleasant surprise from every point of view. Unfortunately, we were given a room without windows and without a ventilation system, consequently a bad smell of stuffiness and mold lingered in the air, and not only that, the pillows, mattress, and sheets also emitted the bad odor. The work seemed to still be in progress, with open drywall panels and holes in the bathroom walls. The aforementioned room does not appear in the presentation photos, obviously if I had seen this room in the photos, I would never have booked it. I made a video so that I cannot be told that this is a false review. Absolutely do not go there.

The room when you arrive is not what you saw. They put you in a basement converted into rooms that are small, without windows, without air conditioning, dirty, without bathroom accessories, without wardrobes or furniture, without a fridge. Negative experience, I do not recommend it at all.

Central location, good value for money; very clean room.

Great place.

More than satisfied both by the facility and the staff. Clean, equipped, and very welcoming rooms. Excellent design. Easy to reach. Great for a quiet and satisfying overnight stay. Very affordable value for money. I recommend it to everyone.

Kindness and courtesy of the owners, together with comfort and cleanliness. Highly recommended.

It is a Bed and Breakfast and you should not expect more than that. Manager extremely kind, possibility to use the fridge and kitchen, essential but positive breakfast. Do not expect princely rooms but only a comfortable and cheap place to sleep and feel almost at home. For me, excellent value for money.

I stayed with my family and other friends for a weekend at this accommodation. Very comfortable and clean. The vibrant colors of the rooms reflect the welcoming attitude of the owners, who are very helpful and kind. We will definitely come back.
