Our International breakfast (available on demand with a small surcharge) consists of eggs, cold cuts and cheeses selected from our regional specialties. Obviously we’ll do our best in order to satisfy our guests’ specific food requirements.

I stayed 2 nights at B&B Il Picchiolino and the stay was perfect. Michela was very welcoming and showed great availability. Especially after informing her of my early arrival just 1 hour before! Michela is also easily reachable by message. She gave great advice by suggesting I hire a guide to visit the city. And I absolutely did not regret it! Her accommodation is slightly off-center yet very close to the center. The only noise from the street is the song of the cicadas. I arrived by bus and left by train, everything is easy and close. Matera is a very beautiful city and thanks to Michela, I had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, very good breakfast.

B&B Il Picchiolino is located in a residential area, quiet and a few minutes walk from the main square of Matera and the Sassi. The single room is well-kept and welcoming. The cleanliness is excellent. Michela was very helpful with everything related to the stay: from the check-in time, to the possibility of leaving the luggage at the end of the stay, to all the advice she gave me to visit the city. Breakfast is simple but plentiful; Michela also prepared a delicious brisa for me. I felt welcomed and very comfortable; I recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

I stayed two nights at B&B Il Picchiolino run by Michela and it was a great stay. Michela is a friendly, welcoming, and helpful host, in fact, she provided me with a map with all the useful and necessary directions and also recommended the lesser-known attractions to see. The B&B is in a very convenient location for visiting the Sassi and the breakfast offered by Michela is excellent, with fresh seasonal fruit, homemade jams, and much more! I absolutely recommend it!

Everything as shown in the photos, very beautiful and spotless room, with all the amenities and a veranda where you can relax and enjoy breakfast in the morning, with delicious homemade jams. I stayed at B&B Il Picchiolino for a couple of nights, I immediately noticed a special attention to the guest: rich breakfast, impeccable cleanliness, quality linen! The small veranda is a pleasant corner, the bathroom is large, comfortable and the shower just as good. Michela is fantastic, discreet and attentive to the guests' needs. Strategic location for the center and parking. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Apartment located in an optimal area if arriving in Matera by car: there are parking spaces available along the street in front of the property and moreover it is close to the historic center, easily reachable on foot in 5 minutes. I have been here with my company and we really enjoyed it, the location of B&B Il Picchiolino is strategic to visit the Sassi and all the attractions in the center of Matera, the lady who runs it is very kind and caring, the room is very clean and the breakfast is great. We stayed at B&B Il Picchiolino from July 23rd to 26th, 2020. I would say the structure is in a great location to visit the city and especially the 'sassi', and it is also close to the bus station. The owner Michela was very good at giving us the right directions on schedules and places to visit, and then she really made us feel at ease. Thank you Michela... B&B absolutely recommended.

For those who wish to visit the wonderful city of Matera, I highly recommend this bed and breakfast! It is located in a great central location, a five-minute walk from both the train and bus station (for those, like me, traveling by public transport), and from the spectacular Sassi. The owner, Michela, is truly kind, friendly, and welcoming. The single room where I stayed is very beautiful, spacious, modern, very clean, and overlooks a lovely veranda with a small table where you can enjoy a delicious and abundant breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended.

Michela la proprietaria davvero una bella persona, con cui ho avuto modo di confrontarmi e ricevere molte informazioni su Matera, molto preparata e disponibile. Tiene molto al suo lavoro e al rispetto dei suoi ospiti. Ho soggiornato nella singola e devo dire che ho dormito divinamente. Tutto molto pulito e arredamenti nuovissimi. Stanza silenziosa e arieggiata (c'è anche una veranda), bagno abbastanza grande e comodo nelle sue funzionalità. Colazione ottima e abbondante. A pochi minuti a piedi dal centro. Parcheggio pubblico gratuito in zona.

Il B&B di Michela è in ottima posizione, a pochissimi minuti dal centro di Matera. Michela è molto affabile e troverete in lei un’amica e una perfetta promotrice delle bellezze della sua città. Abbiamo trascorso due giorni in questa piccola ma carinissima struttura gestita da Michela una simpaticissima e disponibilissima ragazza tutto ok se torneremo a Matera ci andremo sicuramente ancora. Super consigliato.

Sempre cornetti freschi per la colazione e marmellate eccezionali, letto comodo e struttura pulitissima e completamente nuova. Molto vicino al centro storico dove è possibile andare a piedi in meno di 2 minuti. Tranquillità anche nel parcheggio auto. Michela è davvero una simpaticissima persona e molto disponibile per informazioni e tutto ciò che serve per una vacanza ideale nella splendida Matera.

Situato in ottima posizione vicino ai sassi, accoglienza familiare, Michela sempre disponibile e prodiga di informazioni. Camere funzionali e pulite, colazione molto varia ed abbondante. Ci siamo trovati Benissimo.

B&B situato in un'ottima posizione, a due passi dalla piazza principale, dai sassi, dai ristoranti e da tutte le strutture. Nessun problema di parcheggio. La proprietaria si è dimostrata molto gentile, competente, disponibile e ci ha fornito molte informazioni utili. Autonomia nelle entrate e nelle uscite. Camera nuova, spaziosa, pulita e dotata di tutte le necessità. Colazione variata e abbondante, ottime le marmellate casalinghe e le fragole della Basilicata.

Siamo stati a Matera per una vacanza ed un convegno ed il Picchiolino è stata la soluzione ideale come posizione, non avendo la macchina, poiché è vicino ai Sassi di Matera, ma anche a due passi dalle strutture congressuali, oltre che vicino alla stazione centrale. Quanto all'atmosfera, ci siamo sentiti subito "a casa", grazie alla simpatia e accoglienza di Michela, ma soprattutto per la sua disponibilità. Che bello svegliarsi la mattina con il profumino dei cornetti appena sfornati e fare colazione con le buonissime marmellate di Michela!

Ottima accoglienza, la ragazza che gestisce il B&B è carinissima, molto disponibile e gentile a dare informazioni. Totale autonomia per entrare e uscire.
