Nothing to say about the people working at Palazzo dei Ciompi, from the ladies at the reception to the cleaning personnel we found them to be extremely helpful and polite. Unfortunately though, once we got to our room, we felt let down. The reason why we did not mention anything to the front desk is that these are all minor issues considering we were in the room only to sleep and shower, although considering it is not the cheapest accommodation in the city I feel it's fair to be as honest as possible in this review. The room decor looked like in the pictures, but it lacked maintenance. The shelves in the living room looked like they could fall any moment, the room was nice and had a beautiful view but the bedsheet had a couple of small holes that gave a very cheap overall feeling. The toilet was very big and with a beautiful view of the Duomo, although the WC cover was broken, the garbage bin lid was broken and the main drawer of the sink furniture was also broken. We also found some long dark hair in the shower that was not very pleasant (I understand in the rush of cleaning the hair may get stuck to the shower door, but it's still unpleasant to find especially added to the other not-so-pleasant details above). I found it weird that on the sink there was no soap holder nor a towel holder next to it, which diminished even more the perceived value of our room. We did not complaint nor ask for a different room, as I said there really was no point in changing when we were there only to sleep; but I still feel you should know the expectations from the website pictures were definitely not met. Also, we were using the Bonus Vacanze and were quite happy just to be in a mini holiday considering the whole COVID19 situation. Please, do not take this down to your staff; just consider curing your image a little more to deliver what you are promising in each of your rooms/apartments.

We stayed from the 24th to the 27th of December. The initial impression was great. Nice structure, very beautiful and modern apartment, excellent location. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, despite having booked the internal parking with confirmation from the manager, the spot was not available and I had to use an external parking that cost me more. Not even 12 hours after our arrival, the elevator was broken and being on the 2nd floor, it was difficult to reach the apartment with my elderly mother. We found the available dishes in the apartment dirty (cups and cutlery). The breakfast service in the bar below is definitely poor and the staff is rude. Even though I immediately reported these issues to the owner, I received no response. It's a shame because the location has good potential.

We stayed on the first floor and, besides being small and dirty, the apartment was close to the air conditioning unit and we couldn't sleep. I reported it to the manager who kindly moved us to the second floor where the situation had significantly improved both in terms of room size, cleanliness, and quietness. The breakfast is not the best.

Structure located in an excellent position for those who want to visit the center of Florence. Clean, new, and well-equipped apartment. Also convenient internal parking. Only note: breakfast is available only starting at 9 am, a bit too late for those who want to organize their day from early morning.

We spent 4 fantastic days at Palazzo dei Ciompi in June 2021. We decided to use the holiday bonus, which was accepted without any problem, simply by presenting the code and the tax code at the property. The location is great, in just 10 minutes you can reach the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, so it is very convenient to visit the entire center on foot. Palazzo dei Ciompi is a very charming historic building, but it should be noted that being historical, the structure has all the characteristics, both positive and negative. We were a family of 4 and had booked a double room with two separate rooms, the first night, however, we heard noises coming from outside; when mentioned to the receptionist in an extremely kind way, she moved us to another room, very quiet. We really appreciated this willingness to meet all our needs (extra pillows, remote control, room change, extended check-out time). Also, a big thumbs up for the parking, 20 euros per day, very convenient compared to alternatives in the surrounding area. The only downside could be the bar affiliated with Palazzo dei Ciompi for breakfast, in the included breakfast there was a toast, a brioche, a juice (orange or pineapple), and a coffee/cappuccino, so a very rich breakfast, however, the issue concerns the management and rudeness of the people running the bar, one morning we asked for an orange juice (well aware that it was for a fee because it was not included in the breakfast) which arrived completely undrinkable because it was so rancid, when mentioned to the barista she simply replied "I cut the oranges and squeeze them". In any case, except for the breakfast bar, I highly recommend Palazzo dei Ciompi, as it has everything you could wish for on a vacation, the staff is competent and friendly and the rooms are splendid.

Excellent location, in ten minutes on foot you can reach most of the artistic sites of interest. Good for the internal parking, the staff is kind and welcoming. Small note in case of inconveniences, it is not possible to contact them at certain times. \nHowever, I would gladly return.

A stone's throw from the Duomo. Historic palace under renovation, which when completed will make the location even tidier and cleaner. Breakfast paid for and not consumed as the bar was closed. The manager, in exchange for the missed breakfast, for two days, for 4 people, did not charge us for the parking inside the Palazzo dei Ciompi. Enchanting and convenient location.

Very nice apartment in the context but dirty, having two small children and with all the covid recommendations I found the place dirty, hair on the floor and in the bed. I changed the pillowcases brought from home and the pillows were dirty. Booked dinner and for the money I paid I thought I would eat much better instead you couldn't choose what you wanted. Never again in this place even if they give me the stay as a gift.

I have just finished my vacation at Palazzo dei Ciompi. Well, what can I say, I had a great time. Clean, tidy, and super modern rooms. Everything was there, from the dishwasher to the stovetop, from the little terrace to the pots and the fridge. I recommend it because, besides being very comfortable, the staff is attentive. I went to the reception for a problem with the hairdryer and heating. By breakfast time, everything was already working. Even the breakfast offered at the bar was excellent and very abundant. If I were to come back, I will not hesitate to stay with you again.

We stayed at Palazzo dei Ciompi for two nights. Firstly, the location is very favorable for those who want to be close to the center, in fact, within about 6/700 meters you reach the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, but also many other museum palaces, Casa Michelangelo, Palazzo Medici, Ponte Vecchio... etc. In the apartment we were in, despite the fact that the building is of a certain age, from the inside it has been recently renovated, with LED lighting everywhere, new bathrooms, trendy accessories, kitchenette, dishes and dishwasher, practically ideal for four people, two rooms, two bathrooms, small kitchen with four seats. The night department is well equipped, clean linen (also in the bathrooms). Breakfast is included in the price, well served and abundant, even the other meals if desired, at the usual restaurant below, affiliated, for 25 euros per meal with just water and coffee. The staff is helpful and kind. We are happy. Obviously, we paid using the total holiday bonus with parking at 20 euros per day, it seems like a lot, but in the center of Florence you won't find another solution, if anything, parking in the city definitely costs more. Recommended in all aspects.

The room at Palazzo dei Ciompi was extremely dirty, with dust and hair everywhere. The dishes were dirty and the bathroom, as well as the tub, smelled of sewage when the water was turned on. We spent the night fighting mosquitoes in the room. The next morning we woke up covered in bites. I have a 10-month-old baby whose face was full of mosquito bites. When we spoke to the receptionist the next morning, she completely disregarded our issues. The food was also poor quality, as the hotel is affiliated with a nearby pub and the menu only offered two pasta dishes and a sandwich as a main course. Furthermore, the private garage recommended by the hotel returned our car at 11:30 instead of 9:30, the time we requested it. NEVER AGAIN IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT. TERRIBLE EVERYTHING. As far as I'm concerned, it should close down.

It is a 0-star facility. Let's start from the assumption that it is not a hotel but a series of rooms in a palace. The reception is only available during the day, so it is not possible to find it in the evening or at night if there is a problem. The rooms are dirty, there were cleaning tools in the corridors, it is not possible to use the bidet due to narrow spaces, also there were many mosquitoes in the room due to the lack of a mosquito net. The cooling system did not work at all. All this in the deluxe office rooms. The lady at the reception is not at all welcoming, and as soon as we arrived for check-in, she asked us to pay the bill instantly. We booked for only one night and asked to pay for meals the next day (optional) to decide whether to eat at the affiliated bar or not, but we were not allowed. As for lunch and dinner, they are affiliated with a bar next door, where they initially promised us an appetizer, many first courses with little choice, and many main courses to choose from. So we paid in advance for dinner and lunch at a cost of 200€ for 4 people. As soon as we sat down for dinner, the girls at the bar told us that we could choose either the appetizer or the main course, with a limited choice. For the main course, we were forced to have a sandwich, in which we found a hair and a dead mosquito. We pointed this out to the owner, and he apologized, saying that the little fly got stuck walking to the table. In the morning, breakfast (meager), we had to have it at the same bar, in the showcase where there were croissants with flies and mosquitoes buzzing around. We pointed this out to the staff, but unfortunately the showcase is open, so we asked for something packaged, but they refused, and for the sake of our stomachs, we even skipped breakfast. Given the bad experiences, we decided not to eat lunch, and consequently asked the facility for a refund of at least the lunch, but they refused, claiming that the issue was between us and the bar (even though I had made the payment agreement directly with the rather unfriendly facility). The bar, in turn, excused itself saying that it was a matter between us and the palace.

Structure and management very willing to meet customer needs, including changing rooms during the stay. Great location for visiting the center. Pity about the cleanliness, which needs to be taken care of a little more (we had to move some furniture, behind which it was better not to look given the clouds of dust). Despite this flaw, recommended stay and where we will return.

We dined at the bar-restaurant in agreement with the hotel, adjacent to it, at the price of 25 euros per person, but not eating meat the only things available were salad, cherry tomatoes, olives and burrata. Obviously, we did not reach the amount of 25 euros. On the second evening, they presented us with a bill of 18 euros because we had dessert and two virgin mojitos (off the menu).

Excellent location in a 'vibrant' district of the city with many bars on the street and not at all dangerous, very close to the center. The property should be improved in terms of details: for example, a mosquito net on the window to prevent the entry of numerous mosquitoes in summer, a bath mat in the bathroom as there is a flush shower would be appreciated to avoid wetting the floor and especially the bed pillows, which were very thin: they should either be different (higher) or there should be the possibility of having more than one. Dinner at the affiliated restaurant PLAZ was good and the waiters were very kind and helpful, they immediately showed us what we could choose and were very courteous and friendly. Breakfast needs improvement: unfriendly baristas, they made us choose what we wanted and then told us one by one that some things were not included: croissants yes but muffins and donuts no, fruit juices yes but fresh juice no, toast yes but yogurt with cereals no (paid extra 5 euros for a yogurt with a small cup of cereals, too much I'd say!), and no table service, we chose and then had to wait for the items and bring them to the tables ourselves: DISAPPOINTING!

The air conditioner was not clear if it was working or not. For the rest. The apartment is brand new, the kitchen is well equipped, they gave us many towels for the bathroom. Breakfast is served downstairs at the bar and you can choose from various pastries, a hot drink like coffee and cappuccino, juice and toast for a substantial breakfast. The apartment is located in the city center, you can reach the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio in no time. There is even a supermarket a stone's throw from the structure. Highly recommended! (I used the holiday bonus).

The Palazzo dei Ciompi is a structure located practically in the center of Florence, almost in close contact with the city's most important artistic attractions. The apartment lived up to our expectations. Unfortunately, the check-in left something to be desired as there were distractions during the registration phase and especially in implementing the services provided by the contractual agreement (the change of linens every 3 days was obtained only once and upon my insistence). Overall, I recommend the Palazzo dei Ciompi to all those who intend to visit the splendid city of Florence, whether for short or long stays.

Great location just a few steps from the center of Florence, on a charming little square. Large apartment, elegantly furnished and functional, equipped with everything you need; clean linens, perfect air conditioners. Abundant breakfast at the bar under the building, very helpful and kind manager, as well as the girl at the reception. A special mention for the internal parking (very useful in the city) but especially for the extreme courtesy in accepting immediately, without any price adjustments (something that happened to me when requesting quotes from other facilities) the holiday bonus.

If I hadn't called, no one informed me that the parking space was not in the street indicated in the address. At the reception, there was a dead cockroach in a corner, a sign of not too much cleanliness. Inside the apartment there was a musty smell, noisy air conditioners, the wifi router's LED was annoying to fall asleep, in the bathroom of the master bedroom water entered from the neighboring apartment, windows were dirty, and there was no freezer compartment in the fridge for ice packs. The breakfast at the bar just outside the structure was very poor. Lastly, in the corridors, there was a bucket and a mop with putrid water, ironing board and iron, and the towels for changing were in bins where guests passed by, not very COVID-safe. The only positive note was the location. We will definitely not return.

Beautiful structure and strategically perfect for walks in Florence (and surroundings) because it is right in the center and with parking availability. Reception and friendliness from Massimiliano and the staff at the reception. The only aspect to improve is the not perfect cleanliness in all areas of the house. We will gladly return.

I had booked a studio but they gave me a two-bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms and a huge terrace at the same price. The apartment was clean, detailed, and recently renovated. The area is very central, a few minutes walk from the Duomo, and there is also the possibility to take a parking space. The staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast at the bar below Palazzo dei Ciompi includes: 1 juice, 1 cheese toast, a croissant or a brioche, a cappuccino or 1 coffee. Overall, I had a great experience.
