Our B&B is at Ostia district of Roma a few metres from local beaches and lido facilities ('Lido La Conchiglia Ostia', 'Lido Urbinati Ostia', 'Lido Salus Ostia', 'Lido Elmi Ostia', 'Lido Battistini Ostia', 'Stabilimento balneare Lido Ostia'...) rich in archaeological sites and buildings of great architectural merit, in a quiet, panoramic setting. "Barocchetto Romano" is a prestigious home for breathing in the scent of our past, a residence with unique, original style.

We are the first cannot stand the time limits, especially for breakfast during the holidays, or if you have to get up very early for work or travel logistical reasons. So our kitchen is organized so that you can prepare breakfast in complete self-service autonomy buffet until 11. 00 hours. The coffee machine with waffles produces a good espresso, the kettle that I find allows comfortable to prepare teas and herbal teas of which we have a varied selection. For those who prefer them between drinks no shortage freeze-dried coffee and cocoa for the little ones. On the shelves in plain sight are various flavors of brioche, croissants, different kinds of cookies and biscuits, jam, honey, corn flakes and Muesli choices. We have a large fridge stocked with plain yogurt or various fruit flavors, fresh milk, butter, mixed juices and seasonal fruit. then obviously the toaster and sandwich bread Trays, cutlery, cups and everything you need are on hand to be able to enjoy breakfast in the living room or in your room or on our beautiful terrace overlooking the sea.

A lovely place to stay - an amazing terrace, and really convenient for the many restaurants on the doorstep, and the beach just across the road.

Most of these ratings I would have given an 11. You could not find nicer, more helpful hosts. I had a great time, using the place as a base for 9 days. The room was cleaned each day and spotless. The food was superb. I’m coming back.

The hotel was nicely decorated and the room was small but cosy. The bed was good and from the big and beautiful balcony, you could see the sea and the city center. Nearby there are many good restaurants. The breakfast was small and not very good. I felt very sad when we were leaving and Ms. Perla asked for the city tax again. We paid it on the second day but she could not remember that. Also, she said that we had been charged extra from the kitchen. When I asked what that was, she said that we had made coffee and taken muffins. The coffee was ours and yes, we took 2 muffins but never took them in the morning. It would be nice if there were a list of what was included and a price list for extras. Also, we arrived at the hotel around 23.30 and we had to pay an extra 15 euros for the late arrival. On their website, it seems that the hotel is open until 23.30.

Dear Tuula, probably you reserved so many times before to arrive, making request from different website that you get confused....We have to follow you until we could understand your necessity to satisfy your request. The first was the arrival time, please go on our messages and see arrival after 23.00, maximum check in time we showed everywhere, has a cost of plus €15 per hour delay. Our breakfast is famous and despite on our page is written self service breakfast, breakfast was SERVED and I remember you have yogurt, cereals, croissant, fruits, coffee, eggs with bacon or ham and cheese toast. The kitchen has always products available, breakfast is included but as per the menu, shown and explained at check in, food and drinks are not free out of breakfast time. We simply asked if you had any extras and in any case what you consumed was offered to you. Furthermore check out is at 11.00 but you absolutely ignore it going for a walk and coming back half our late to check out. Regarding the payment of tourist tax, I still don't remember that it was paid, but when you said you had already paid it, we even didn't contested. If I hadn't bothered to assist you, you would have left the expedia reservation for the room you didn't want at double the of the cost. Anyway it was a pleasure hosting you. Thanks for your visit.

Hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful. The location with the terrace over the piazza was very pleasant, including the glimpse of the sea. The room was spotless, comfortable and nicely done except the kitchen area was the only location with a sink.

This B&B is charming and within walking distance to the sea. The breakfast was the average fare, nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either. However, the manager, Perla, was fantastic. She is a very helpful and friendly person. If you're looking for something small and intimate, with the feel of an apartment, I recommend this B&B without hesitation.

Très beau B&B, décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Magnifique terrasse avec vue sur la mer. Idéalement situé. On peut rejoindre Rome très rapidement. Je m'y suis sentie comme à la maison grâce à l’hospitalité et la générosité de Perla. C'est une adresse que je recommande vivement.

Siamo stati accolti con cordialità dalla signora Perla. La camera molto pulita. Regna l'ordine e la cucina condivisa è fornita di tutto per fare una colazione di ampia scelta. È da consigliare senza alcuna riserva. Ci si sente come a casa.

È sempre più difficile trovare dei B&B che risponda alle aspettative e sentirsi un po come a casa. Per me, che sono spesso in viaggio, il Barocchetto Romano è una residenza ideale per riposare in tranquillità e trascorrere qualche giorno in una location piacevole come Ostia. Ambiente confortevole, splendida terrazza, ottima accoglienza e personale disponibile. Ho avuto il piacere di passare un giorno al Barocchetto con il mio ragazzo ed il nostro cane con ogni servizio a disposizione (cucina, colazione, WiFi, bagno in camera). Quando riesci a trovare i tuoi spazi intimi anche fuori casa, bè questo è il top. Grazie alla signora Perla e la gentile ragazza che ci ha accolti. Annalisa Vicari.

Un luogo da scoprire, intimo ed accogliente. Curato nei particolari. Una favolosa terrazza baciata dal caldo sole di Ostia che si affaccia sulla zona pedonale. Perla, una persona gentile, disponibile e molto aperta. Lo consiglio a tutti.

La mia recensione ha un altro sapore perché vivo a Ostia dal 1998 e passeggiando per Via Lucio Coilio chi, e dico chi, non alza gli occhi per vedere quella magnifica terrazza e, a dire il vero, non immaginavo fosse un b&b. Così per caso io e la mia ragazza, non avendo la possibilità di stare da me quel weekend, facendo una ricerca su internet vediamo le foto della terrazza e riusciamo a prenotare per un weekend stupendo, romantico, riservato, di relax e, nello stesso tempo, al centro di tutto: mare a 100mt e locali trendy sotto. Il mio non può essere che un voto alto sia alla struttura che a Perla che sapientemente e con tanta fatica manda avanti. Un abbraccio Sal.

Appena arrivata mi sono detta: "sembra di stare in un piccolo mondo romantico!" Le stanze sono accoglienti, pulite e arredate con gusto e raffinatezza. Ci sono una saletta dove potersi rilassare, una cucina completa di tutto il necessario e una terrazza molto grande dove poter fare colazione, rilassarsi o prendere semplicemente il sole, godendo del mare in lontananza. Tornerò, perché sembra proprio di stare a casa. Perla, la padrona di casa, è proprio una donna in gamba.
