Nadia and her team at Hotel Berna were attentive and wonderful hosts in every way! The elevator is a great help with luggage. We did not eat breakfast, but it looked delicious! Perfect location near everything!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Berna. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and the owner, Nadia, was so kind and amazing. I loved the fact that the hotel is a short walk (less than 5 minutes) away from the train station. It made things very convenient. I will definitely consider staying here when I return to Florence.

Noticing the sharing shower/toilet at the last minute, it would be appreciated if they informed about the special price that comes without a private shower/toilet. It was odd to pass by the reception whenever I needed to use the shower/toilet.

Nadia and the other staff were very supportive, kind and polite. This hotel experience is one of the best memories of my stay in Florence.

Great location and great value. It's a large apartment with multiple rooms, each with its own bathroom and balcony. The room is spacious and the bathroom is modern. It is right by the train station and the central market. The host does not live in the property but works right across the street and can be contacted 24 hours a day using the phone provided at the front desk. She is very friendly and a great host. Breakfast is replenished daily in the room. They are mostly on the sweet side but I found that it's typical in Italy. Water, milk, and juice are also provided. Definitely a place I would come back to stay at.

We had a wonderful stay! Great location, close to the station but far enough to avoid excessive noise. In the evenings there are many nice places nearby to go eat. The woman at the reception desk was extraordinarily kind.

Upon our arrival, the welcome was very warm, we were able to take the room much earlier than expected and enjoy the beauties of the city right away. The morning breakfast was abundant, tasty, and with a variety of options, along with Nadia's always smiling and helpful company, created a family and welcoming atmosphere, making everyone feel at home. The room was spacious, very cozy, and equipped with every comfort. Comfortable beds, a large and functional bathroom with a big shower, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and a kettle for tea or coffee in the room, which is always a pleasant addition. Furthermore, the location of Hotel Berna is practically exceptional: just three minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella station and practically steps from the heart of Florence. It is perfect for those who want to explore the city without having to travel long distances. Overall, our stay at Hotel Berna was perfect, and much of the credit goes to Nadia's attentive and warm management. If you are looking for a hotel that makes you feel at home, with a warm welcome and high-quality services, this is the right place. Maximum rating for Nadia and her establishment. First of all, the great kindness of the girl who manages the structure, then the excellent breakfast (sweet and savory), the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room, the location, make this structure perfect. A bit expensive but in line with Florence's prices.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience. Near the station, so at night there were various complications. Shouts, fights, and sounds of broken bottles that didn't let me close my eyes.

We were treated well, excellent reception strategic location.

Maybe the detailed information is good to be told before the arrival. For example, about my room, the bathroom is separately located from the bedroom. This would be one important factor to consider during the stay. Hope you think of it. But totally it was a nice stay for me.

A ground floor hotel, very well maintained, recently renovated and welcoming. Spacious and pleasant room, with comfortable beds and antique wardrobe. New bathroom and balcony. Close to the train station and city center. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights at this Bed and Breakfast. At the beginning, we had the worst room, with a very small bathroom and no bidet. During the night, we heard frequent noises due to water suction problems in the bathroom pipes and noises from the autoclave system. Around midnight, the water in the bathroom was no longer available and the manager explained to us that it depended on the poor performance of the reserve, which, due to massive and constant use by multiple users throughout the day, could not guarantee adequate supplies. The next day we were moved to a better room in general; also, the water problem did not occur, plausibly because everyone used it at the same time, giving the reserve time to recharge. We would have appreciated being notified at the time of booking or, alternatively, some consideration on the price as a partial refund for the inconvenience, but none of this happened. For the rest, good breakfast, great location, kind and friendly manager and staff. Average cleanliness.

The Berna Hotel is a bit spartan, but clean and welcoming, near Santa Maria Novella station. The strengths are the location, the price, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. The weak points are the noise and the fact that the room I stayed in did not have an en suite bathroom. However, highly recommended!

Recently renovated property, very convenient location, close to Santa Maria Novella Station and the Tramvia terminus. Room with everything you need and more (iron, slippers, toothbrushes, kettle, and refrigerator). Abundant buffet breakfast. All of this is complemented by the availability and friendliness of Nadia, with whom it is pleasant to stop and chat.

Room very close to the center. The staff was kind, but it's a big word to call that single room, precisely, a room. I hope the other rooms are better.

Located on a floor of a building served by a small elevator, in a very close area to Santa Maria Novella station. The center is very easy to reach on foot: in about 15 minutes you can directly reach the cathedral, Uffizi, Arno etc. The room with a small balcony was quiet (double glass door), well illuminated, with modern furniture, kettle, and refrigerator. Private bathroom for disabled guests with crystal shower and bidet. Very courteous welcome, with availability for luggage storage both on arrival and departure. Small structure but with excellent continental breakfast.

We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and acquaintances. We had the pleasure of staying there on February 28th. Elegant and meticulously cared for, it is truly very welcoming. We were very impressed by the presence of various 'optional' services, especially the kettle to make herbal teas at any time. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived, we had a problem with the car and Mrs. Nadia, very kind and extremely helpful, immediately took action to help us quickly find a mechanic nearby.

Structure that deserves more than the declared 2 stars: for its strategic location to visit the beauties of Florence, very clean and bright room and a large bathroom with a big shower where they provided slippers and a toothbrush, large and comfortable double bed, and with the double windows no noise from the street, but the difference is made by the staff working there, who met all our needs from the first contact to the departure, a special thanks to Nadia for her unforgettable coffee and cappuccino, better than the ones we had at the Bar. So thank you for everything, we felt at home.

The hotel is in a great location, just a few steps from the S.M.N. train station and the city center. The structure has been recently finely renovated, the staff is kind and helpful in providing information and advice. They provided us with the room before the expected check-in time and kept our luggage even after check-out. They accept holiday bonuses. I am completely satisfied!

With my sister and my boyfriend, we spent five days in Florence and as a facility we chose the Berna Hotel for the very good reviews I read and I would say they were really right! Entering the room there was a scent of clean (in addition to the room being freshly air conditioned), we met Nadia, a really kind, helpful and super nice woman who gave us some tips and information on where to eat or how to get to certain places! The structure is really five minutes from the center of Florence and practically next to Santa Maria Novella! If you are going to Florence and looking for a great b&b I absolutely recommend the Berna Hotel by Nadia! You won't regret it.

Great hotel.

Even though I stayed in the Daphne Annex, I checked in and had breakfast at the Berna Hotel. I found the room ready, with clean sheets and a very comfortable mattress. My requests for extra pillows and towels were met without any problem and I was able to use the holiday bonus! The breakfast is abundant and if you have special requests just ask and Nadia will take care of everything. Very convenient if you arrive by train or Flixbus (SMNovella station and T1 stop from Villa Costanza just around the corner). Area with many shops and lots of activity but the new windows ensure silence. On the other side of the street, I highly recommend the Braciere Malatesta Restaurant, excellent prices and a variety of food to satisfy everyone, extremely courteous staff, fabulous internal gardens and atmosphere. A few steps from Piazza della Signoria, I recommend Gustarium for an excellent pizza with organic flour by the slice with quality ingredients and a great Spritz. I thank Nadia and her staff for the welcome and availability.

I am very satisfied with the hotel, in my opinion it should be a 3-star. It has been renovated less than a year ago, the rooms are beautiful, the location is excellent (in front of SMN), good quality/price ratio and very kind receptionist.

The room had a blind bathroom 1m×1m made from a piece of the room. The toilet positioned in a way that it was impossible to sit because the legs hit the old worn wooden sliding door. The shower impossible to use because the water was scarce and there was no mixer. The room's air conditioner was unusable because it pointed at the bed. Very high cost, very poor quality!

I stayed in Florence for a few days and at Nadia's place, I truly found a home away from home. She welcomed me warmly and was always available for any request. If you happen to visit Florence, stay at the Berna Hotel, the location is great for exploring on foot or by public transportation. I will definitely return.

I stayed at the Berna Hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are clean and I liked the decor which is a contrast of simple and baroque furnishings. The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean and the bathroom comfortable. The staff was very helpful. I also very much appreciated the breakfast rich in choices between sweet and savory.

I stayed with my husband and son from September 20th to 24th, spacious room, good but improvable cleanliness and great location 10 minutes walk from the cathedral. The lady Alina very kind, helpful and always smiling. I recommend it.

Great experience. Place very close to the station, even though they were traveling by car. Center reachable on foot in a few minutes. Rich and varied breakfast. Welcomed by the manager, always very kind and helpful, perfectly. Highly recommended.

We went on vacation on 18 August 2020 my partner and I. We had a divine time, I couldn't find a flaw in the structure and the staff. Fresh and abundant breakfast. The owner is excellent. I suggest a change in the breakfast time, extend it by an hour since it is offered from 8:30 to 9:30. Highly recommended.

The structure is comfortable, close to the station and the center. Unfortunately, there is negligence in details (in the bathroom, a shelf is missing, also a plastic cup for toothbrushes, the toilet tank continuously leaks water, the remote control batteries were taped with adhesive tape). With a little goodwill, it would be a perfect structure.

The structure is located in the San Lorenzo district, a short walk from Santa Maria Novella station and the city center, easily reachable on foot in about 5 minutes. The room was very quiet, clean and suitable in space for a couple. An added value: the (pre-packaged) breakfast in the room, always available and replenished every day, which allows you to manage your waking time at your leisure. A special thanks to Mrs. Nadia for the availability and support provided before arrival and for the excellent welcome at check-in. We will definitely return next time we visit Florence!

I stayed for a week in this guesthouse with my boyfriend during the week of Ferragosto. In general, our judgment is very positive! I think I would probably come back here if I visited Florence again. Some flaws are the face towels too thin that immediately get wet as soon as you use them; the absence of bidet towels; the mattress that heats up a lot; the Wi-Fi sometimes not working, perhaps because at those times it is used by too many people. Very positive aspects are the value for money; the cleanliness; the air conditioning; the perfect location, very close to the station and a stone's throw from the center; the possibility of storing luggage; the breakfast, although pre-packaged, present in the room and abundant; the presence of a fridge both in the room and in the common area; the decent number of electrical outlets; the very kind and helpful staff.

We stayed for 6 nights and we had a great time, like being at our own home. Excellent. Definitely worth considering again. Best regards.

Great B&B at a good price, 2 steps from the station and very close to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Safe, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, etc. Breakfast complete with everything one could desire. Perfect cleanliness as well as the linen. The reception always reachable. Spacious room, very quiet and impeccably clean. Close to trattorias and places to eat, but also equipped with a very convenient kitchenette available to those guests who wish to have simple meals independently. Excellent location of the property, a few minutes walk from the train station and all the major points of interest in the city of Florence. Only downside: the breakfast, already prepared inside the room with long-life sweet products, completely lacks fresh products and could still be enriched, for example, with yogurt or dried fruit. It is worth mentioning the kindness and friendliness of the manager at the time of welcome.

Great structure, very spacious and clean room (we had a family room for 4 people), convenient location to the station and the center, with many trattorias and various places to eat with fair prices. The kindness of the manager, Mrs. Nadia, is worth mentioning, always available to solve any small problem or provide valuable information for visiting Florence. I will definitely recommend it to friends and relatives who want to visit this beautiful city.
