B&B De Amicis

Sylvia and Lucca are incredibly lovely hosts, very willing and generally a lovely couple. Breakfast is not in the house, but there are 2 cafes very nearby where you can have an orange juice (freshly made) and a pastry and of course the most delicious coffee. The house is easily reachable by bus number 6 from the city center. The room is smallish but good enough for two people and spotless. I would recommend this property and would definitely return.

Hosts Lucca and Sylvia were very gracious, warm, and super friendly. Our room was fresh, quiet and cozy and the bed was very comfortable as well. For breakfast, we were provided chits for Pasticceria Magnolia which was just down the street. A visit to Magnolia was a perfect start to the day - excellent coffee, fresh OJ and pastries. Although, the B&B was not located in the city center, it was easily accessible by the number 6 bus which ran frequently. We enjoyed staying in the Campo Marte neighborhood and it was fun seeing a side of Florence that the normal tourist does not see. Last and not least, please visit Lucca and Sylvia's restaurant, Ristorante Pizzeria Fiorella, we ate there twice. Given all the options in Florence, the fact that we ate there twice speaks for itself.

Everything was great, very clean with a perfectly polite and welcoming host. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. On the third day, we couldn't have breakfast as we had a train and were not authorised to take it away (which doesn't change much as it was only a sandwich and a croissant). Otherwise, would totally recommend the place.

The owners are very friendly and it is always easy to contact them. The room is clean and big enough for a short-term stay in Florence. Coffee and some biscuits, as well as water (in a mini fridge), are provided which is very convenient.

I am very happy that I found this B&B on this website. The rooms are beautiful! It was very comfortable to have the coffee machine and cookies in the room, as well as getting free water in the refrigerator every day! Silvia and Luca are very friendly. I also really enjoyed the breakfast at 'La Magnolia', it is delicious! It was good to have the air conditioning, and the bed is comfortable; I slept very well.

My stay at B&B De Amicis was very pleasant and comfortable. The host is welcoming and rather knowledgeable about the neighborhood and Florence itself. The room was clean, had nice furnishings and I particularly appreciated the quality of the linen. For breakfast I was provided with a voucher which I could use at a choice of two patisseries. The hosts also run a pizzeria with an excellent menu. I would recommend B&B De Amicis.

B&B De Amicis, a very warm welcome from Silvia the hostess! The room is super cute and full of surprises that enhance the trip. We appreciated that it's not right in the center of Florence and moreover the bus stop is just 150 m walk away, which is really great. For breakfast, you can choose between a great bakery nearby or a small bar that allowed us to stay for a sandwich or a typical croissant or have a cappuccino! We walked a lot during the day and so it was nice to meet at the pizzeria of the owner's husband who offers great pizzas at very reasonable and delicious prices, all far from the B&B! In short, a great address with great people. I would go back.

We were welcomed with great enthusiasm by the owners, even though the English was just sufficient. The room is recent, well decorated and the accommodation has a small common lounge. The city is a half hour walk away, but it's easy to do. The owner's pizzeria is very welcoming, we ate very well there for a very fair price. Breakfast is to be grabbed on the go at one of the two nearby bakeries, it wasn't quite clear what we were entitled to.

The accommodation was very clean and tastefully furnished. Breakfast could be taken in two different cafés. We always went to the larger café and the selection was plentiful. We would gladly come again.

The hosts are very warm, friendly, and helpful. The house and room are very pleasant, clean, with a very good bed and pillows, quiet, decorated with charm and love for detail. Air conditioning, espresso machine, water, and other delicacies are available. Breakfast can be taken in one of the nearby bakeries. We recommend this B&B and would gladly come back.

I had a great time at the B&B De Amicis, the owners are very welcoming, the room was modern, well-equipped, located in a quiet area and the service was excellent. Although the accommodation is not centrally located, it is well connected by bus and train and therefore away from the tourist hustle and bustle. In a small café around the corner you can have a typical Italian breakfast (included in the price), in the company of many Italians from the neighborhood. I enjoyed spending my evenings at the owners' restaurant, which is also only a few meters away from the accommodation. The food was delicious, everyone was very friendly and I didn't miss anything. I will gladly come back!

Beautiful small rooms, super bed. The bus leaves almost right in front of the door. Owner's restaurant just 100 m away. Very tasty and affordable.

The accommodation is a dream! I stayed here with my best friend for one night. The owners welcomed us very warmly. Even though their English was a bit rusty, we managed to communicate well. The owner invited us to dinner right away at his restaurant around the corner. We had booked with breakfast, so we were advised to visit the bakery next door, where we could eat and drink as much as we wanted. The freshly baked Italian pastries were delicious. The location of the accommodation was also great, it took us 15 minutes by bus to get to the city center. Would love to come back!

My friend and I stayed at B&B De Amicis for 9 days in September. The location is not central, but that was what we wanted. The city center is easily reachable by bus or by taxi. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. We had breakfast, which is included with the stay, every day at Bar La Magnolia, a short walk from the B&B. There was a wide selection of sweet and savory items. By the second day we felt like regulars. The hosts, Silvia and Luca, were fantastic. Very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend B&B De Amicis to my friends.

Mrs. Silvia was very kind and helpful in meeting all our requests. In the structure, in addition to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, many small things are provided to prevent and meet the traveler's needs (you can tell that they have traveled a lot too). Besides the ubiquitous candies and chocolates, we felt pampered. If we were to return to Florence, we will definitely come back. The only criticism is the lack of a bidet, but nothing insurmountable with the shower next to it.

The almost all top ratings speak in favor of a stately structure managed to perfection in every aspect. From communication to cleanliness to the quality of the adjacent restaurant recommended to me, everything truly impeccable.

B&B De Amicis very clean, a bit far from the center but well served by public transportation. Good and plentiful breakfast at a nearby pastry shop. The lady was very kind, welcomed us upon our arrival, and provided us with all the possible information. Thank you.

Excellent structure in Campo di Marte, convenient with line 6 that takes you to the center and the station. The lady was very kind and also recommended a nearby restaurant owned by them where you eat well and even get a discount. I recommend it to those who want to visit Florence without a car in a quiet area not far from the center.

My boyfriend and I were guests at the property during the New Year's week. We immediately felt welcomed by the owners, who provided us with excellent information on both local places and places to visit. For the evening of the 31st, we dined at the restaurant run by them and it was a great experience. As for the included breakfast service, we can recommend the “dolcezze del 2000” just a few steps from the B&B. In conclusion, a truly top-notch holiday, highly recommended.

Great structure. Owner available, very kind. Excellent location both for going to concerts at Nelson Mandela and for visiting the city center. The room is equipped with everything and very clean. In addition, the owner has a restaurant just a few steps from the structure where we ate very well!

Room well cared for in detail, comfortable and very clean, Silvia a friendly, helpful and very welcoming person, the structure also offers a voucher for breakfast at the pastry shop next door or at the bar always close to the B&B, we arrived around 1 PM and Silvia made herself available to book a table at her husband's restaurant pizzeria Fiorella, we ate very well, the staff friendly, kind, fast in service and very attentive to customer needs, what can I say, it was a short but beautiful stay in every way, we will definitely be back... even small gestures are always welcome treats, if you are in the area I absolutely recommend it!

Very well-kept B&B, down to the smallest details. Extremely clean room with water and coffee machine available. Mrs. Silvia welcomed us in a very friendly and welcoming manner. Breakfast available at 2 very well-stocked pastry shops very close to the B&B. Really satisfied, we highly recommend it. Located on the boulevards, it is certainly not in the historic center, but served by bus stops right under the structure. We will definitely come back. Erasmo and Norma.

A B&B that has the warmth of a B&B and the comfort of a 4-star hotel. Extremely comfortable room with a double bed with top, air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, courtesy set with disposable slippers included, coffee machine in the room available with pods, sugar, cups, biscuits, and candies... the best for me who needs a coffee in the first place. Delicious breakfast in the pastry shop. Located 5 km from Santa Maria Novella station and 300 meters from Nelson Mandela's small palace. Ideal for those like us who came to Florence for a concert and do not want to get stuck in taxis or public transport late at night, everything accessible on foot in a short time. Silvia very helpful in giving us all the information we needed and very kindly, as our check-out was on March 8th, she made us find a composition of mimosa with chocolates and a dedication... these much appreciated gestures make a difference and I am happy to make my appreciation public for their B&B curated in every detail. We found an exquisite welcome, comfortable room and excellent cleanliness. We were offered some small attentions that we really appreciated. Ms. Silvia and her husband were truly special in meeting every need of ours and even more! We also dined at their restaurant/pizzeria Fiorella which is nearby and we enjoyed a delicious pizza. We had no parking difficulties and we used the very convenient public transport to the city center. We will return to Florence!

Very welcoming, charming and remarkably clean structure; equipped with a mini fridge and espresso machine. The structure is very close to the Nelson Mandela forum (a few minutes walk), well connected to the center of Florence as the bus stop is just a few meters from the B&B De Amicis. Breakfast is also good. We were welcomed by Mrs. Silvia, very kind and above all very helpful and attentive to everything. Thanks to the information she provided, it was even easier for us to move around the city.

We stayed for one night on the occasion of the Ultimo concert. Very kind and helpful owner, impeccable room and equipped with every courtesy kit even more than necessary. Strategic position to reach the stadium, you can get there on foot in a few minutes. If needed, we will definitely come back without looking for anything else. Thank you.

Position served by transport, in a few minutes you can reach the center. Behind the structure there is the park in the stadium area with the possibility of spending time in the green. Breakfast in agreement with the bar where you can eat excellent croissants. Highly recommended.

We were delighted with the environment, brand new, clean and welcoming, a practical structure to live in and easy to reach, convenient for reaching the beautiful historical points of interest in Florence. Structure located in a strategic place for concerts (it's a pity about the parking problem which is a city-wide issue, maybe an idea of reserved parking for customers/tourists who request it could be considered), very clean, the lady is very kind, room very clean and welcoming, much appreciated the coffee machine with the accessories, clean and functional bathroom, excellent heating/air conditioning (however, it should be specified that access to the rooms is only via stairs not suitable for people with walking difficulties). The only downside is the breakfast at the bar: frozen pastries and a sign asking customers to bring back the cups to the counter, however, there is also a pastry shop that I did not find. For the rest, as already mentioned, I definitely recommend it.

The structure is located very close to the Mandela Forum, ideal if, as in my case, you have to attend a concert. The historic center is about 2.5 km away and well served by public transport. The kindness of Silvia, the owner, has completed the experience. We will definitely meet again! B&B De Amicis.

Super welcome from Silvia, very kind and ready to solve any problem. The room is detailed! Great breakfast in a pastry shop next to the B&B. Great location, quiet and green area: the city center is easily reachable on foot to fully grasp the atmosphere of Florence, but also convenient the bus stop in front. In addition, the Campo di Marte train station is a 10-minute walk away! We will definitely come back.

Very cute. The managers are delightful, very polite and helpful. Not in the center, but it's fine because there's no chaos that would be elsewhere. We chose to approach the center by car and then walk afterwards. Very silent thanks to the windows that isolate very well. So even the street-facing room doesn't have the problem of passing cars. There is some trouble with parking because it's not clear where you can park in Florence, but it's a problem throughout the city, as parking is almost all for residents and there are few alternatives and garages (at least from what I have seen). I would definitely come back if I decided to return to Florence.

I stayed with my daughter for a concert at Mandela; the rooms at B&B De Amicis are very clean and tastefully decorated, just as seen in the photos on the website. Silvia, the owner, is very friendly, helpful, and kind; very close to Mandela and the stadium, convenient bus stop that takes you to the city center without changes. Breakfast at the pastry shop downstairs. In short, highly recommended.
