Sabbenerica is a cosy haven in the heart of Palermo. The flat is beautifully decorated, clean and has great facilities. The location is unbelievable - it is so close to the centre and 5 minutes from the nearest train station, which was a great help on our trips to Cefalu and the airport. Elisabetta is a very kind, hospitable host. She made our visit feel very special. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

“Sabbenerica” is such a lovely place to stay when you visit Palermo. So nice and cosy typical Sicilian decorated location. When you enter this house, you feel the warmth and happiness Elisabetta put into it. Your heart melts. Elisabetta, herself is so kind. We arrived on a Saturday night. We were so stupid and tired we got lost in Palermo. Elisabetta was so sweet, to give up her Saturday night to come and find us, for 1 and a half hours. A thousand thanks 🙏 for that. “Sabbenerica” is perfect centrally located across the Palermo cathedral and a huge wonderful botanical garden with live music. Passing through this - the real Sicilian lifestyle starts -. I traveled a lot in the world. But such a great atmosphere in these Sicilian streets, I have never seen before. Positively hysterical. So much to do and see. Huge walking streets with food, drinks, shops, entertainment - nightlife. Also, tourist attractions are available, a lot. We took the “Hop on - hop off” bus. In a short time, you see the whole of Palermo. Together with “Sabbenerica” we had a fantastic impression of Palermo. For the much too short time we stayed. Advice: Take a minimum of 4 to 5 days, to visit Palermo. You won’t regret. Have fun!!!

Sabbenerica was a lovely and cozy Bed and Breakfast in the heart of downtown. Elisabetta was extremely helpful and made sure that we settled in to the place well. The B&B is very spacious and equipped with anything you might need during your stay. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We had a great stay. The location was stunning, situated in the historic center next to the Royal Palace and close to many famous sites in Palermo. It is a short walk from the Ballarò market, the Cathedral and the botanical garden. What surprised us personally was the warm hospitality of the owner, Elisabetta. The house is beautiful, clean and well furnished with characteristic details and absolutely nothing is missing. Everything, furniture included, is of a quality rarely found and was deeply appreciated. Snacks and drinks were left for our arrival and for breakfast the next day. There was also an umbrella and some toys for guests with children. We are already thinking of arranging to stay longer at Casa Sabbenerica.

Buongiorno Stefania. L'appartamento è privo di parcheggio, è un appartamento non un hotel, e che non vi sia un parcheggio è pure specificato. Sabbenerica si trova in una zona centralissima dove è possibile a piedi esplorare i punti cardini della città con tutte le meraviglie proprio a due passi. Cosi come ci sono garage nelle immediate vicinanze, oltre quello dove avete lasciato l'auto, avrei potuto suggerire un altro, o aggirare la zona ztl come hanno sempre fatto altri ospiti e parcheggiare sulla piazza. Ma se per lei, la priorità è un parcheggio, le consiglio di scegliere oculatamente la struttura perchè la sua recensione non penalizza me o la mia attività, ma evidenzia la sua distrazione nel prenotare una struttura non rispondente alle sue esigenze. E tralascio i suoi altri giudizi sulle pulizie, su me in quanto gestore sul rapporto qualità prezzo, in pieno agosto, tralascio tutto, perchè ho la fortuna di avere avuto ospiti sicuramente più oculati e attenti che hanno saputo apprezzare ogni cosa e goduto della vacanza.

The apartment is very large, spread over two floors, has two bathrooms and two bedrooms. Despite the heat, it is very cool, especially the sleeping area. But it is the location that makes the difference: it is close to the cathedral, so very convenient for visiting the entire center of Palermo and not only that, because it is also near Piazza Indipendenza from where almost all the buses pass to visit the more distant places, such as Mondello or Monreale. It is also close to the Palazzo Reale train station, so really fantastic! Elisabetta is very kind and helpful, she gave us the opportunity to leave our luggage well beyond check-out time. I can only highly recommend the apartment.

Credevo fosse un banale errore di digitazione, è riuscito a farmi perdere punteggio guadagnato con impegno e sacrificio, pur scrivendo una bella recensione. Sono molto dispiaciuta. 5 ad un appartamento pulito, in pieno centro, fornito di tutto e organizzato, sicuramente NON lo merita.

I chose this Bed & Breakfast for the very positive reviews, but my friends and I were very disappointed. In summary: Excellent location to visit Palermo, apartment complete with everything. However, the double room is damp and lacks privacy, directly overlooking a very noisy alley with children playing, laughter, and chatter until late at night, with people hanging clothes at the height of the only small window partially covered by a too short curtain. The small room with bunk beds is damp, invaded by ants that have taken over the suitcases, with a musty smell and, above all, lacking ventilation, having only a small window high up overlooking a deposit of old stuff, a tangle of hydraulic pipes from the building, and most likely the autoclave that produces a frequent annoying noise. The noise of the building's front door must be slammed shut. The sofa bed is uncomfortable due to obvious annoying springs, we couldn't open it and, if opened, it obstructs the access to the kitchen from the bedrooms below. Finally, a spiral staircase with 15 high steps greatly limits access to the two bedrooms below for the elderly or those with mobility problems.

Sig. Aldo, grazie per la sua recensione che mi da la possibilità pubblicamente di smentirla. Lei non si è nemmeno disturbato a guardare le foto, ce lo ha detto telefonicamente, altrimenti avrebbe visto che una delle stanze ha i letti a castello ed in una foto in particolare si vede anche la scala a chiocciola, e già con questo non avrebbe dovuto prenotare il mio appartamento avendo come lei stesso dice, una certa età con problemi di deambulazione. Non si è nemmeno informato a che piano si trovasse e se fosse fornito di ascensore. Si è limitato a leggere le recensioni e ha sbagliato. L'appartamento si trova all'interno di un vicolo, non passano auto, non c'è il frastuono del traffico cittadino, solo qualche bambino che gioca, lo ha disturbato. I panni stesi sotto la finestra hanno invaso la sua privacy. La tendina messa nel modo assolutamente corretto per fare entrare aria nella stanza e mantenere il riserbo. Poteva chiudere le imposte e usufruire dell'aria condizionata. Era compresa nel prezzo. La stanzetta coi letti a castello ha in dotazione un potente deumidificatore oltre che un ventilatore, avrebbe potuto accendere anch'esso. Formiche, da che ricevo ospiti e da che svolgo questa attività non ne ho mai viste, ma lei ovviamente si, che assaltavano persino le valige. Se lo avessi saputo, le avrei suggerito dove trovare l'insetticida. Per ogni pretestuosa lamentela c'era pronta la soluzione, ma io avendo scambiato telefonate e messaggi, ho ben compreso la tipologia di ospite che avevo in casa. Ma non ho capito una cosa, alla fine questo benedetto divano lo ha aperto o no? perchè dice che c'erano delle molle in evidenza che lo rendevano scomodo, ma poi scrive che non siete riusciti ad aprirlo...Ovviamente, lo ribadisco solo per amore di verità, il divano è nuovissimo, NON ha molle e non è scomodo. Insomma caro signore, secondo lei, le persone che hanno alloggiato nel mio appartamento per quale ragione hanno riconosciuto in me, e nell'appartamento meriti e cosi tante note positive? La prossima volta, le consiglio di guardare le foto prima di prenotare. Eviterà di fare un soggiorno sbagliato, e di infamare il lavoro di chi seriamente si impegna perchè ogni cosa funzioni, nel totale rispetto degli ospiti, del loro tempo, e non di meno, del loro denaro. Apartment located in a quiet but very central area. A few steps away is the Royal Palace; the wonderful Cathedral is also very close. Via Maqueda and the Ballarò and Vucciria markets are a 10-minute walk away. With children aged 7 and 9, we explored the whole of Palermo without any problems. In the apartment we found every comfort: clean rooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen equipped with everything necessary to prepare a good breakfast or a quick lunch. However, we preferred to try the typical Sicilian food in the various small restaurants near B&B Sabbenerica: top quality/price! I highly recommend staying at this B&B: Mrs. Elisabetta is extremely kind and made us feel at home. We will definitely come back!

After a few steps, you reach the Norman Cathedral, immersed in the silence of the place. The apartment is clean and functional, the host always available for any need. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended for both a couple and a family. It is located in the center, a stone's throw from any attraction, in a safe place behind the police station. Elisabetta has thought of everything: two bathrooms, washing machine, high chair and cot for children, and safety gate. It does not offer breakfast, but there is everything needed to cook and prepare breakfast with some products already there. Thank you again to Elisabetta. See you on the next trip to Palermo, Gigi.

The owner was very kind from the first to the last day. I went on a trip with just a friend of mine and we had a great time. The location is very strategic, very central. We had no problem moving around on foot. The house is spacious and big, everything works perfectly. We thank the owner again and recommend it to everyone.

Apartment in a central area, near the Norman Palace and the Cathedral. Very clean and equipped with every comfort and suitable for welcoming even small children. We had a great time, relaxing in a quiet area to immerse ourselves, in an instant, in the heart of the city. I did not personally meet Mrs. Elisabetta but she was very attentive and caring, asking every day if we needed anything. The only 'flaw' could be represented by the fact that the apartment is divided into two floors connected by an internal spiral staircase not easy for those with difficulty in walking. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend this property.
