This is a delightful Bed & Breakfast, very unspoilt and authentic. It’s immaculately clean and Giovanni, the host, produces a delicious breakfast and could not be more helpful. The garden leads down to the lakeside from where there are beautiful views up Lake Orta and from where you can swim in the clear, clean waters. It’s a magical spot. The restaurants in Pella, when we were there anyway, were a bit restrictive. Perhaps there’s more on offer in high summer.

A wonderful location, nice rooms and a tasty breakfast. The owners were very nice until the last day. My friend and I had requested for the mattresses to be placed on the ground because neither of us fit in the beds (Dutch and Germans are not the same height as the Italians). The owners were kind enough to remove the bed frames and tuck them on the side of the room. We were grateful for the extra space and thanked them. However, on the last morning before breakfast was served, the owner was clearly very upset and added 50 euros (50 whole euros) to the bill! She was upset about the fact that the mattresses had to be placed on the ground. She told us that this was a bed and breakfast and not a camping ground. I was shocked at the price and also very disappointed in her mannerism. She does not speak English and I do not speak Italian. I tried communicating with her in French, but she was very upset and barely communicated. All of this was conducted before 8 am on our final day. We enjoyed our stay until the last day and were disappointed in the customer service. It left a very sour taste in our mouths.

Aggiungo alla precisazione alcuni elementi: senza autorizzazione è stata utilizzata la cucina per prepararsi la colazione quando sarebbe bastato comunicare l'orario e si sarebbe provveduto. Senza autorizzazione sono state utilizzate le canoe del vicino di casa che ovviamente si è lamentato e ha fatto pagare il servizio. Non è stata comunicata l'intolleranza al glutine e al latte e pertanto il primo giorno non è stato possibile servire una colazione adatta che invece è stata servita dal secondo giorno. Quindi prima di dare la valutazione "2" al gestore occorre valutare sé stessi. Il gap linguistico si può superare con uno sforzo reciproco e nel nostro caso, se uno dei gestori non parla lingue straniere l'altro non ha alcun problema pertanto era sufficente chiedere e avremmo risposto adeguatamente. Una precisazione: i 50 euro richiesti come sovrapprezzo per la risistemazione della stanza e la pulizia dei materassi non sono stati riscossi. La nostra disponibilità è stata totale ma tengo a precisare che non ci è stato chiesto di trovare una soluzione alternativa ma sono stati messi i materassi per terra senza autorizzazione. Se un ospite ha delle esigenze particolari dovrebbe segnalarle in maniera da consentire al gestore di trovare una soluzione prima oppure di indirizzare ad un'altra struttura più idonea. Nei B&B ci sono delle regole da rispettare perché non si è né a casa propria né in un campeggio dove non c'è un contatto quotidiano con i gestori, ma in una casa privata che si apre all'ospitalità. Se si chiede cortesemente si ottiene cortesia, se ci si comporta in maniera troppo "indipendente e invadente" si rischia di irritare i proprietari. Spero che possiate capire e modificare i vostri atteggiamenti cercando soluzioni più adatte alle vostre esigenze.

Dom and Lydia are the perfect hosts. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the breakfast fantastic, with homemade marmalade and local cheese and ham. The area is very quiet and the beautiful garden invites you to relax by the lakeside. Thank you for the warm welcome and the interesting conversations and last not least, for finding us a safe spot for our classic car. We will be back!

Die Osteria ist direkt am wunderschönen Ortasee gelegen. Es gibt einen riesigen Garten mit direktem Zugang zum See. Es ist herrlich ruhig und abgelegen. Die Betreiber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war hervorragend! Wir waren rundum zufrieden! Vielen Dank für die schönen Tagen.

Das war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub!Solch nette Gastgeber hat man selten. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft, tolle Aussicht, super Lage und viele süße Tiere! Wenn man keine Hunde oder Katzen mag ist man dort falsch. Ansonsten die richtige Adresse um entspannt Urlaub zu machen.

Ein sehr sauberes B&B, mit freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern, umfangreichem Frühstück, in dem der Geist des alten bürgerlichen Italiens lebt. Was will man mehr? Einen Park mit Privatstrand am See, tollem Blick, Liegestühlen und klares Wasser? Ebenfalls vorhanden! Wenn wir wieder einmal Urlaub am Ortasee machen (ideal zum Wandern UND Baden), dann hier. Lovely place inside a courtyard, feels like going back in time. Very clean and a short distance from Pella where you can easily get there with a walk. Very kind staff and available for every need. We will definitely come back!

In the midst of the ortan nature and its picturesque lake we came across an excellent structure from the past century with a remarkable ethnographic apparatus with truly ad hoc design combinations welcoming the munificent host super abundant breakfast and meticulous cleaning care definitely excellent experience of peace and meditation.

I stayed over the weekend and I was extremely happy to have done so. The welcome was wonderful, we couldn't have asked for more. Our dogs were also welcome. There is a beautiful park. We will definitely come back in spring when we can also enjoy direct access to the lake. The breakfast was very abundant and of high quality. The bed was very comfortable and the structure welcoming.

Ringrazio Andrea a Margherita per la loro disponibilità e gentilezza. La struttura è magnifica, arredata in maniera particolare e non manca ogni comfort. A circa 5 minuti dal lago, immersa nel verde e nella tranquillità. La colazione abbondante e variegata, ovvero sia dolce sia salata. Suggerirei di collocare un televisore in salotto (non ho fatto caso se vi fosse o meno), in modo da ingannare l'attesa nelle giornate piovose, come quelle di questi giorni. Per il resto tutto perfetto! Se ritornerò in futuro, non mancherò di soggiornare lì. Chiara.

Tutto spettacolare, peccato però che l'impianto di riscaldamento non sia proprio adeguato alla struttura, abbiamo patito il freddo. Spero proprio si possa migliorare questo problema.
