For pilgrims on the Via Francigena, this is an ideal location for an overnight stay (or two). Ivrea is certainly an undiscovered gem to explore, with its Roman origins, medieval buildings and, as well, being the centre of the Olivetti company. Paying close attention to detail, hosts Grazia and Antonio have tastefully decorated Il Tuchino throughout with beautiful art, classical furniture and delightful touches like Grazia’s doll collection in the cabinet in the sitting room. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a balcony as well as a spacious private bathroom across the hall. This is such a lovely place to stay. Upon arrival, you can make your own tea or coffee in the elegant sitting room/breakfast room. A great breakfast awaits the next morning with personalized touches such as fresh orange juice, freshly brewed coffee, hot and cold options and our first taste of a local specialty, the Torta 900! You must try it! Just cross the nearby Ponte Vecchio (of Roman origins) and you are in the historic centre with its winding alleys and its medieval flavour, or you can walk along the flowing Dora Baltea river. There are many cafés and restaurants nearby, and the train station is a short walk away. Grazia and Antonio are warm, friendly and welcoming hosts. They stored our luggage and helped to arrange our baggage transfer for our walk, as well as providing helpful information about Ivrea. They were always quick to respond to any request and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Il Tuchino is an excellent place to stay and we could not recommend it more highly.

Great place to stay. Near train station. Ivrea is a beautiful town with a Roman history. The B&B is very airy and a wide classic staircase takes you up to the B&B. The hosts, Antonio and Grazias, are welcoming and attentive. I would stay again.

Antonio and Grace run a lovely B&B on the 3rd floor, beware no lift. It is very clean and secure. I found them very welcoming and helpful hosts who gave excellent ideas on places to see and local restaurants. They organised transport to my next town as it was a Sunday and no buses were running.

Grazia, the hostess, was a total delight and very accommodating and helpful. Good sense of humor and fun. Bed and pillows, especially, were very comfortable. The location was perfect for walking to see the sites. The apartment is up two flights of stairs, but they are not terribly steep. Grazia helped me with my baggage. Excellent breakfast of a variety of breakfast pastries, with yogurt and muesli, and some fruit.\n\nFor dinner, I recommend restaurant, Aquila Nera, within walking distance just walk through the Piazza Lamarmora and to the street toward train station.\n\nHIGHLY recommend.\n\nFaith.

My husband and I stayed at Il Tuchino on our way to Switzerland and must say we had a very enjoyable stopover at this property. The location is excellent with only a 10-minute walk to the very center of town, the property was beautifully decorated, the host was most gracious, and the breakfast delicious. Fantastic accommodation: The room is very spacious and clean, the air-conditioned bedroom is separated by an additional room with an extra bed and desk from its own hallway and bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a spacious tub and bidet, all very stylish and well-maintained. For breakfast, there are sweet and savory options to choose from, plenty of everything, all super delicious. It's a 5-minute walk to the old town, and there is parking right in front of the house. We wholeheartedly recommend the B&B!

Fantastic! A very beautiful and welcoming place in a very convenient location. The managers Antonio and Grazia are very kind, Mr. Antonio even came to pick me up in the last kilometers of the Francigena as I was exhausted from the heat and the bus breakdown in the morning that forced me to walk during the hottest hours. For us, returning to Il Tuchino is a bit like returning to a familiar place. The location of the structure is optimal, the managers are attentive and available and take care of this place just to make you feel at home. The spaces and environments are really beautiful! When it is cold in the breakfast room, you find the wood stove on. In short, a nice awakening! Highly recommended.

I stopped at the Cammino d'Oropa for one night in Ivrea, I was warmly welcomed by the hosts, two really lovely people. The room and bathroom were very clean and the breakfast more than adequate. The bathroom attached to the room had a fantastic shower, very spacious, with a shower head recessed in the ceiling and a massaging waterfall option... in a B&B. Simply fantastic.

My son and I stayed at Il Tuchino for an equestrian competition. The room is very simple, clean, and essential. The bathroom is new, with a very large and comfortable shower. We met the lady owner, who was very kind and hospitable to us. My son and I eat gluten-free and the lady even offered us some fresh treats specially bought for us. The breakfast was very good. Definitely a positive judgment.

I was welcomed with great kindness and professionalism by both managers. The room is large and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of a TV, but in my case I had a competition the next morning so there was no problem. The bathroom is large and has a fabulous shower, impeccable cleanliness and excellent breakfast. I thank the lady in particular for her care and her friendliness. If I had to return to Ivrea, I would definitely return to Il Turchino.

I had a very good experience at this small B&B in Ivrea, despite the limitations due to covid. I really liked the small terrace where I could relax and cool off from the heat and the bathroom was nice, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast was quite varied and they even made sure to ask if I had any food issues. Then it was very convenient to reach the train station or the center of Ivrea, which is very nice.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast for a stay in Ivrea. The location is perfect for visiting the historic center. Below the Bed and Breakfast there is a paid parking lot and some free spots for an hour (note that on Saturdays you cannot park). However, a 10-minute walk away there is a large space with parking. Helpful owners. Simple but good breakfast. Maybe something could be organized with salt too (perhaps by asking in advance not to have any leftovers). Large room and bathroom with a nice shower.

I stayed during the Carnival period at this property, precisely accommodated in the 'Il Tuchino' suite. Characteristic and quiet place, with a strategic position that allowed us to visit the city entirely on foot, especially with the proximity to Ivrea station. The courtesy and welcome from the owners also reflect on the management of the B&B. In fact, the cleanliness of the room was impeccable and the decor tasteful. Private internal bathroom (only in the suite) very spacious with an emotional shower. Also available is a balcony from which you can admire and enjoy the view of the orange battle with its parade. Varied and satisfying breakfast also for the service offered. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!

I booked a room (DRAGO) for the days of the battle of the oranges and I had a great time. The owners were available even before I arrived to organize my accommodation so that I could be ready in time for the battle and to dirty the least possible on my return from it. Initially, the room would not have been available before 14:30 so having to leave before 13:30 I was temporarily given a room and a bathroom. During the morning, the room became available and the kind owner made me find my luggage in my room. So great courtesy and availability. The room and the bathroom are large, very clean and welcoming; there is also a small balcony overlooking Piazza Lamarmora. The bathroom of the DRAGO room, despite being "separate" from the room, is very convenient as it is immediately in front of the room door. Free wifi, abundant breakfast, availability of the small room with 2 sofas and 2 tables where you can have tea or coffee at any time. Highly recommended, I will definitely come back.

Morgana, Grazia and Antonio were welcoming and friendly, making us feel more like friends than guests. The stay was very short but it was enough to appreciate the comfort of the room and the bathroom. I found the shower really splendid for the jets and abundance of water as well as for the size. Good breakfast with homemade pastries and coffee from the moka, fresh fruit, jams. The location of the structure is in a characteristic place of Ivrea a few steps from the Dora and not far from the center. A pleasant discovery.

I am not used to giving such high reviews but the owners of this property are truly exquisite people who interpret the B&B philosophy to the fullest. Their availability and attention go far beyond contractual duties. I was in Ivrea for a conference and in the middle of the night I realized I had forgotten my cufflinks at home and only had shirts with double cuffs. The manager, early in the morning, drove me to buy new ones and then to the conference (where I would never have arrived on time otherwise). The breakfast is varied, plentiful, and homely. The cleanliness is excellent, both for the room and the bathroom. Many pieces of furniture are antique but meticulously cared for by a skilled antiquarian. I wish the best to this property.

The only flaw, and unfortunately for us important, is that the bathroom, contrary to what is indicated, is not in the room but in front of the room in a common corridor.\n\nBeautiful, very clean and spacious private bathroom, but you have to leave the room.\n\nBreakfast very well taken care of by the owner, varied and homemade.\n\nHospitable and helpful for excellent tourist information also about the surroundings.

Negative aspects: Rooms without a TV; the shower water exceeded the edge and entered the room, flooding a large part of the floor.\n\nApart from these two things, everything else is excellent. The owner is very kind and always available, her husband even took us to the clinic.

Gentile Mariangela, ci spiace molto per l'inconveniente della doccia perché tutte le camere del Tuchino e i bagni sono stati rifatti nuovi da meno di un anno, la doccia della suite Il Castello dove avete soggiornato è una doccia Bossini cromoterapica, quello che è successo allo scarico è stato un inconveniente temporaneo risolto appena abbiamo potuto intervenire, non è certamente la regola. Per quanto riguarda la tv in camera è chiaramente specificato sul sito che le camere ne sono sprovviste del resto in tutta la struttura è disponibile gratuitamente il wi-fi ad alta velocità sulla fibra ottica. Ci stupisce il voto così basso alla colazione perché è veramente un punto di forza della nostra ospitalità basta guardare le recensioni, utilizziamo pane fresco, almeno due tipi, acquistato al mattino e croissant non surgelati prodotti dalla panetteria del posto, anche questi acquistati freschi tutte le mattine, cerchiamo di usare per quanto possibile prodotti locali e sempre sono serviti al tavolo oltre agli alimenti indicati precedentemente anche yogurt, burro, latte fresco. torte fresche, marmellate, nutella, cereali, caffe preparato nella moka, the, biscotti, frutta fresca e alimenti per celiaci su richiesta. Se richiesta è anche disponibile senza sovraprezzo la colazione salata con prosciutto, salame, uova e formaggio. Davvero ci spiace molto che la colazione non vi abbia soddisfatto, sono sicuro che se ce ne aveste parlato avremmo potuto accontentarvi offrendovi i prodotti che vi avrebbero soddisfatto maggiormente. Il Tuchino has become my home in Ivrea. Very kind managers who keep the structure clean and welcoming. If we want to find something to improve, I would put a TV in the room or a bigger TV in the living area. Saying that breakfast is abundant is an understatement. Perfect location near the station, restaurants, hospital. Thanks again to the managers.

Stayed with pleasure in a welcoming facility with helpful staff. The location is definitely interesting for those involved in canoeing, as it is practically located at the entrance to the Ivrea slalom camp. Definitely recommendable.

I stayed at this B&B on the recommendation of the clinic where I had medical tests done, due to its proximity. The B&B is very easy to reach by car and has ample parking, as it is practically surrounded by dedicated parking lots; it is also close to the road leading from the highway and very convenient to the center of Ivrea. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful and take great care of the property. The rooms and bathrooms are very welcoming and have an excellent standard of cleanliness. The breakfast is abundant and rich, but the fantastic thing is that your favorite hot drinks are prepared by the owner in the kitchen on the spot using pots/coffee makers and stoves, excluding the use of machines and prepackaged items. Having to return to the area in the future, I have already reserved the room, as it truly deserves it! I recommend it to everyone who needs to stay in the city, also for the excellent quality/price ratio.

The stay at Il Tuchino was surprising, because we didn't expect it to be so excellent based on the price communicated. I chose this Bed and Breakfast for the 2nd night in Ivrea because it is close to the Historic Center and especially near the Railway Station. I thought it would be noisy, but thanks to the double glazing, it is also quiet. Varied and abundant breakfast.

I stayed at this Bed and Breakfast in the historic center of Ivrea during the Historic Carnival. The location is enviable, right in the heart of Borghetto and therefore of the orange battle. The room was very nice, recently renovated. The managers were helpful and very kind. Abundant breakfast, with excellent bread, jams, fresh fruit, milk, tea, coffee, fruit juices, croissants, ham and cheese. Excellent value for money.

I'm in Ivrea for work. I chose Il Tuchino for its very convenient location, but it was a surprise: the owners are very kind and the room is very cozy and spotlessly clean. After two days, I had a complete change of towels and everything is always perfectly in order. The breakfast is plentiful and genuine. I recommend it to everyone. What is most appreciated is the kindness of Mrs. Grazia (I only met her husband once), a delightful person who makes you feel at home!

I stayed at this property during the hectic Carnival period with a group of friends. We were speechless in front of the kindness of the managers, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness, the welcome, well, everything was perfect.
