Great accommodation. Had a private kitchenette. Everything very stylish and clean. Bed was also excellent. Italian breakfast selection was also good. Would love to return.

I rented a studio based on the property's beautiful photos and reviews, but in reality I found myself in a shed/warehouse in the courtyard converted into a room, with iron windows that were freezing (no insulation), a makeshift tiny kitchen and a windowless, very cold bathroom. Since it was New Year's Eve, in the middle of winter, it was not very comfortable; so we spent the first booked night there and preferred to leave on the second. We did not use any of the spaces shown in the photos (perhaps on the upper floor), which was one of the reasons I had chosen the B&B. Nothing to say about the host and cleanliness.

Buongiorno, Mi avete comunicato che siete andati via perche è venuta la febbre, non perché c'erano dei problemi con il riscaldamento. Mi spiace per la vostra esperienza. Il monolocale è molto facile da riscaldare con i termosifoni. E se si gradisce più caldo c'è anche la pompa di calore con telecomando in camera. Avevate il mio numero di telefono, mi avete contattato per altre info, potevate dirmi che avevate freddo e avrei aiutato per spiegarvi come si accende la pompa di calore. Le foto presenti nei siti sono le foto di tutta la struttura, dal piano terra, dov'è situato lo studio blu (non era un magazzino, ero uno studio, come descritto). Al primo piano e al secondo. Mi spiace per la vostra esperienza Virginia.

The best bed and breakfast in Mantua, with its history, atmosphere, and attention to every little detail. The antique interiors are extremely beautiful. Everything is very comfortable, and the staff is always available. I will recommend it to all my friends and hope to stay there again next time in Mantua.

The Casa del Pittore is a quiet space in the heart of Mantua. In the courtyard, you can breathe air impregnated with art and history: contemporary art because the grandfather of the current owners was a painter (his paintings are on display in the accommodations) and Renaissance history because the walls of the house are adorned with ancient frescoes, as it was once the residence of a branch of the Gonzaga family. Virginia, the painter's granddaughter, and her father welcome you in this unique and familiar atmosphere where you feel totally relaxed and at home. My daughter and I stayed in the micro-apartment on the ground floor and we were independent for outings and meal consumption: an excellent solution for the current period.
