Everything was very good. Most of all the recommendation Franco gave to me for lunch. Dear Franco: I never had such delicious pasta as in the restaurant which you recommended. I think the name of this wonderful place was 'Tortuga'? Thank you very much and thanks again to the nice couple in the restaurant. Many greetings.

It's a perfect location, a very short walk from the railway station and right on the edge of the main walking/shopping street, close to numerous shops, cafes and restaurants. The building is simple, in the same traditional style as the rest of the neighbourhood. The B&B is on an upper floor accessible by stairs, with a small reception area and several small rooms. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable -- I slept very well. There are electric shutters to keep the light completely out, air-conditioning, and in my room also a balcony that offered a view of Mt Etna. The bathroom was spacious, as was the shower, functional and properly designed so there is no water flooding it after showers.\n\nAs good as the B&B was, the owner -- Franco -- is possibly the most helpful and friendly B&B owner/manager I have ever encountered. He went out of his way to make my midnight airport arrival as comfortable and safe as possible, even as a solo female traveller who was completely new to the area. He gladly helped with any issues I had, even accepting to inconvenience himself to facilitate my baggage storage, and refusing fair compensation for all his efforts.\n\nIn a nutshell: Would I stay here again, or recommend it to others? 100% yes.

Franco was very nice and was waiting for us at the hotel as we got off the train. The hotel was very conveniently located near the train station and we easily walked to the museum and waterfront. He showed us our room, oriented us to the city, and gave us recommendations for dinner. Though no breakfast was provided, the corner bar just outside the hotel was convenient and excellent, with good pastries and coffee.

Very close to the train station and the downtown seemed nice as well, although we did not have much time to explore.

Great location, maybe for a B&B the prices in high season are a bit high, but considering it is close to the most beautiful promenade in Italy and the main street (pedestrian) of Reggio, it might be acceptable.

I had a good time at this accommodation, and next time in Reggio Calabria I hope to stay at Abacus again.

If you travel by train, the location is ideal, three minutes from Reggio Calabria Centrale station. The rooms are spacious and very clean, but a little noisy.

Mr. Francesco is very kind and helpful, hospitable and always present in case of problems to solve. The cleanliness of the rooms is state of the art and it is an excellent location. It is highly recommended.

B&B very close to the station and convenient for the seafront and the city center. We arrived by train with our bicycles to ride along the park cycle path, and the manager welcomed us by providing a lot of useful information, a guide, and credentials for the cycle path. The room was large, so we were able to store our bicycles there and reassemble them. Simple but welcoming rooms, recommended.

I would love to come back to Abacus and stay longer in the room. Everything was very nice and perfect.

Highly recommended! Central location, convenient to the city center and its services, but also to the seafront and the beach. Spacious room with balcony, equipped with every comfort and very clean. I stayed for one night in a single room. The room, although small, was cozy with a TV, air conditioning, and a small fridge. The touch lamp was very nice. The price was lower compared to others in the area. The manager was very helpful. Overall rating 8 full. I would come back here if I had to stay in Reggio Calabria again.

Excellent location, convenient to the train station and city center. I hadn't booked breakfast, but there is a fully stocked 24-hour pastry bar almost next to the structure. The room and bathroom were cleaned thoroughly. The manager is very kind. I highly recommend it for a tour in Reggio Calabria.

I would like to point out that I was very satisfied in all aspects of the hospitality received (service quality). However, I must honestly acknowledge a couple of issues, of which I was fully aware and therefore cannot affect my overall evaluation. The first is that the B&B rooms are located on the second floor, without an elevator, so the Abacus is certainly not suitable for guests of a certain age or with even minimal motor or cardiovascular problems. The second concerns exclusively the Glauco room where I stayed, which is equipped to accommodate only one person and has a single small window placed very high, difficult to open and close if you are not at least 1 meter and 75 centimeters tall, but above all, even if open, it does not guarantee an optimal air exchange intended as a comfortable microclimate. In fact, besides its positioning and size, it is protected by a net and a grate that prevent leaning out. The microclimate issue forced me to use the air conditioner continuously at night (which I would have gladly done without), while for the rest of the day my presence in the Glauco room was minimal; it is certainly not advisable for those who would consider a more continuous use. I reiterate that this last issue identified is related exclusively to the only room (Glauco) I used and that the other rooms, from what I saw in the photos and from the outside, have regular windows and maybe even balconies. Based on my experience and my needs, the stay was very positive and, with the same characteristics as my stay in Reggio Calabria, it will be a pleasure to return to the Abacus and meet its owner Franco.

We really enjoyed our stay, we will gladly return if needed, I recommend it.

Francesca, the owner, is a very helpful host. He recommended the beaches to go to, the restaurants to eat at, and many other very valuable pieces of information. The room was spacious, a small balcony with a view of Mount Etna in the distance, and super clean. Every day the cleaning lady came and also changed the towels if you wanted. Also, in the room, there was a small fridge very convenient for keeping the water cool. I recommend this b&b to visit Reggio, the Viola coast, and the Ionian beaches because it is in a strategic position.

Managed by a wonderfully kind person. Excellent base for a stay.

I found myself very well and the manager, Francesco, is a serious person. The activity is highly recommended.

Very kind the manager Francesco, structure positioned optimally near the station and the city center a stone's throw from the seafront.

So, I stayed only one night but I can judge positively my, albeit brief, experience overall. The host was accommodating and understanding, fulfilling my requests. I will return soon.

Very comfortable even for travelers, close to the central station and with a large parking lot just a few steps away. The manager is precious, a deep connoisseur of Magna Graecia, and his advice on how to get around and where to go is very valuable.

Excellent, clean, just outside the central station.

Structure, very well kept and clean, for those accustomed to working and sleeping away from home, not to be missed, and to return.
